Lyne Defoy est membre de l’Ordre des Orthophonistes et Audiologistes du Québec et cumule près de 30 ans d’expérience en tant qu’orthophoniste. She studied Speech-language Pathology at Université de Montréal. She is extremely passionate about the singing and speaking voice and has expressed herself through singing for her own enjoyment.

Lyne was a member of the Ensemble Gospel de Québec and the Gamik vocale choir in the soprano section. Lyne has taught a class on voice disorders at Université Laval as part of the master’s Program in Speech-Language Pathology. She practises her chosen profession as a voice specialist at the CHU de Québec-Université Laval, where she is part of the clinical team for people suffering from dysphonia.

Lyne also participated in a voice clinic with Dr. Simon Gagnon, MD, FRCSC otolaryngologist and voice specialist at the Enfant-Jésus hospital of the CHU de Québec-UL. She also offers mentoring for SLP’s in Québec who regularly consult her for guidance in their treatment plans for people suffering from dysphonia Tailored training for SLPs and other voice professionals is a part of her competency as well. Lyne greatly values the Estill model and is proud to be its ambassador SLPs in Québec!
